船长撒谎、固执、自私；小男孩愚忠于船长且有暴力倾向，为维护船长差点杀死人；想保护财产的资本家蠢笨无能，结尾竟然患上斯德哥摩症，主动放弃自己的财产。电影看着别扭，也许导演有所指，要的就这效果。
