- 前半段小演员戏份能打4～5星，后期换成大人之后太不顺眼了。凤霞两口子和兴杰两口子的剧情太烦了，本来想综合4星，但是大结局了还把爷爷写死太膈应人。
- 爷爷的结局为整部剧的结尾提供了升华。虽然男主角顾长山是故事的焦点，但实际上，整个林区才是真正代表着「父辈的荣耀」。顾长山只是这个冰山一角，而他的师父，也就是孩子们的爷爷，才是整个故事中「父辈」的代表。他的人生在这片林区找到了终点，化身为树神，永远守护着这片陪伴他生长的树林。
