原来主持人是《现代鲁滨逊》这样荒野求生类栏目出身，所以会以「向阿拉斯加野生动物学习生存技巧」作为片子的线索，结果几乎每集都是想方设法以身犯险拍人家孤儿寡母进食，最后得到结论：怪不得这些物种是阿拉斯加生存能手（不然嘞）。当然很多镜头和知识都挺有意思的，但是相比于传统的自然科普类纪录片，总觉不足以正当化他在拍摄过程中的那些冒险接近大型野生动物，或者踩踏极地植被的操作。遑论最后两集的无人机和定点摄像机真还挺好的拍摄效果了。
