本片拍摄于60年代末，作为MichaelRoemer第二部feature却尘封了20年，不过从成片来看不被看好也情有可原。事实上，theplotisnotagainstHarrybutfavoringhiminstead,而这种家庭喜剧放在Jewishcontext中提供的更多是ethnographicdetails，因为相对niche，观众对于所谓的幽默段落并不能感受也是可想而知了。
